Anthony Chan Student Award

The Anthony Chan Award was established through a contribution by Anthony Chan to honor and recognize the achievements of students engaged in Asian American Studies and their involvement with Asian American communities. The announcement is circulated in the beginning of the Spring semester each year.

Students may be self-nominated or nominated by a UMB faculty member. In the latter case, nominoators should submit a short statement of support after confirming that the student is willing to complete the application process.

Completed applications must be submitted to the Institute for Asian American Studies, Healey Library, 10th floor by Monday, May 19, 2008 at 4:00 p.m.

All information submitted will remain confidential and will be read by a committee of UMass Boston faculty and staff. An interview with the applicant may be requested as part of the selection process.
