Konrad Ng, the Director of the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Program, will discuss initiatives, public programs and exhibitions about the Asian Pacific American experience at the Smithsonian Institution in a talk entitled, "#Linsanity Remembered: On the Canonization of Asian America in the Digital Age." The Institute for Asian American Studies has just completed its project recording first-hand accounts from Japanese Americans who were able to leave assembly centers and internment camps to attend college through the help of individuals or organizations.
