Campus Activities

The Institute for Asian American Studies makes important contributions to student and campus life at UMass Boston. It facilitates networking and collaboration among faculty, staff and students, provides assistance for research projects, supports Asian American studies in the curriculum, organizes educational and cultural events, and links the campus to the community.

The IAAS provides resources and opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students to develop skills, perspectives, and knowledge about Asian American communities and issues. Several graduate students with Asian American interests in public policy, applied sociology, psychology, education, and American Studies have been provided with graduate assistantships at the Institute.
